For this project, the client wanted to create a natural, seamless landscape that would feel like you've just walked into a magical forest. Their vision included meandering pathways connecting various functional areas of the property, all while maintaining a natural aesthetic. Here’s a summary of the project from design to completion.
Client's Vision: The client desired a landscape that felt organic and natural, with flowing pathways to connect key areas: the back door of the house, hot tub patio, grass area, back shed, and the side yard where their RV is parked. Additionally, they wanted an extensive plant package to complement the design.
Location: A residential property with multiple functional spaces in need of connection through natural landscaping.
3D Design: We began by developing a detailed 3D design, giving the client a clear visual of how the landscape would look. The model featured meandering pathways, natural plant groupings, and thoughtful connections between the home’s back door, the hot tub patio, the lawn, the back shed, and the RV parking area.
Meandering Pathways: The key feature of this project was the installation of natural stone pathways that gently curved throughout the landscape. These pathways were designed to flow organically, creating a sense of journey and discovery as they connected the different zones.
Extensive Plant Package: The client wanted a lush, natural look, so we incorporated an extensive plant package. Native plants, grasses, flowering shrubs, and trees were selected to enhance the natural aesthetic, providing year-round color and texture. The plantings were carefully placed to frame the pathways, creating a sense of immersion in nature.
The completed project successfully created a serene, natural landscape with flowing, meandering pathways connecting all key areas. The extensive plantings added depth, texture, and color, blending beautifully with the natural surroundings while maintaining a cohesive and functional design.
